Sinopsis Program
The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Medical Electronics) with Honours programme is designed to cover the electrical engineering discipline, with emphasis on the field of medical electronics. Students would undergo academic curriculum consisting of modules in mathematics, fundamentals of electricity, electronics and solid state devices. In addition, the programme also offers specialized modules in the area of Physiology for Engineers, Biomedical Sensors and Transducer, Biomedical Signal Processing and Biomedical Imaging. Towards the end of the programme, students will go through a Web-Based Learning course which includes Hospital and Maintenance Management, Maintenance of Imaging Equipment, Maintenance of General Biomedical Equipment, Maintenance of Critical Care and Maintenance of Laboratory Equipment.
Apart from delivering the technical knowledge and skills, the programme also emphasizes on the development of the individual student's potentials in an integrated and holistic manner through courses such as Tamadun Islam dan Tamadun Asia (TITAS), Co-curriculum, Foreign Language and Entrepreneurship.
Prospek Kerjaya
The prospect of the programme is to generally prepare highly skilled technologist to meet high demand in field of Biomedical Apparatus and in particular, the biomedical industry. In the
workforce, graduates are typically employed by hospitals or a subcontractor for the hospitals and other biomedical-related industries. As the technology in healthcare continues its rapid growth and its utilization role in diagnostic, therapeutic, and medical research activities continues to expand, the demand for skilled biomedical technologists also rises in tandem.
Biomedical technologists are highly sought after to work in the healthcare industry, mainly in the operation and maintenance of medical equipment, computer and electronic equipment and also in machinery manufacturing industries. They provide consultation service and maintain the medical equipment. They also work in product evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test and repair medical equipment. - Lulus SPM atau peperiksaan yang diiktiraf setara dengannya oleh Kerajaan Malaysia
- Mendapat kepujian dalam Bahasa Melayu/Malaysia di peringkat SPM/Setaraf
Syarat Khas Program- Lulus pengajian peringkat Diploma dan memperolehi sekurang-kurangnya HPNM 2.00
- Mendapat Band 2 dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
